Through DEFRA’s Rural Community Broadband Fund (RCBF), Cumbria County Council submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) in July 2012 for funding for 6 communities based on the exchange at; Bootle, Braithwaite, Culgaith, Holmrook, Shap and Threlkeld.

Confirmation was received from DEFRA that the EOI was successful at the end of September 2012.  The information used as a base for the EOI is shown within the below spreadsheets.

In April 2013, Cumbria County Council’s Cabinet approved the inclusion of Eden Valley Digital, Great Asby and Northern Fells pilot areas in their full application to the RCBF.   These pilots have to date been approved at EOI stage.  The information used as a base for the inclusion is shown within the below spreadsheets.
